Caroline and I made it back to New York just in time for more snow. Yuck! We both had a great time in South Carolina and were very sad to say goodbye (especially to the weather). I actually managed to take 139 pictures while I was home, but about 30 of them were bad ones of me so no one will ever get to see them. I am going to try to split up the pictures into a few posts so not to overwhelm you all with cuteness. The first night we got there was a little rough. Caroline was really worn out, but we decided to overwhelm her with a barrage of visitors anyway. She pretty much refused to leave my lap the whole night but enjoyed watching everyone from a safe distance. I was pretty worn out too so I didn't think to take any pictures.
The next day (Thursday), we had a laid back morning with Mimi, PawPaw and Aunt Diane. I got a few shots of that.
I took like 7 shots of Aunt Diane and Caroline and this is the only one where both of them had their eyes open. ha.
This shot is just hilarious. Mom is probably telling Diane she's doing something wrong.
It was 78 degrees that day, and I was so excited that I could just put Caroline in a dress with no jacket or pants or anything! It was so strange and wonderful!
Our next outing was to take Caroline to meet her Magam and Haha (my grandparents) for the first time. It took her a few minutes to warm up, but she did a great job, and of course, my grandparents fell in love.
It was hard to get a picture of everyone looking at the camera at the same time. We had a lovely visit and lunch, and our next stop was the mall where I took the plunge and did this.
BAM! Check out my mom do! After watching half of it fall out due to hormones and trying to pry the other half out of tiny baby hands, I realized the hair had to go! I think I lost 5 pounds when I cut it off, and I don't miss it AT ALL.

Ha! That pic of Diane, Caroline and I made me laugh so hard. What a fun time we had during your visit. Caroline met so many new people and she did great with all of it! Can't wait for the next visit! Love, Mimi
ReplyDeleteCaroline is such a DOLL in ALL of the pictures and looks like she belongs in the south! I love your hair - so very flattering! I can't wait to meet Caroline - maybe we will be in the same place at the same time in the near furture. Sorry you had to deal with snow immediately on your return, but winter is almost over and your day of summer is not too far in the future. Aunt Sandi
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Caroline with your grandparents are just too sweet!! I know that they were excited to finally meet her! Speaking of snow, it is snowing right now here in Fairbanks, and it is absolutely gorgeous!! We might go to an ice-sculpting contest today!! How unsouth is that!!! Love, nana
